Thanks for reading. It's always cool to read what people thought was funny and sweet or compelling. It's interesting-- sometimes a writer knows when they have a really good joke like the 2,000 calories was one of those moments that I thought-- "Hey, that's pretty darn funny." I'd planned on the ashes part since the beginning of the ficbut other parts are spontaneous like the jokes.
